The White Stone Group Featured at the 19th Annual National Forum on Quality Improvement in Health Care Orlando, Fla., December 10, 2007IHI’s national forum is a professional event designed for leaders and learners interested in improving the quality of healthcare. The event draws approximately 5,500 healthcare leaders from around the world in person and thousands more via satellite broadcast. The White Stone Group seeks to help hospital’s quality improvement efforts through IT solutions built to capture and harness routine communication in the business and clinical settings. “The quality, safety, efficiency and profitability of patient care can all hinge on routine communication that occurs at every level of a healthcare organization,” said Guille Cruze, founder and CEO of The White Stone Group. “When captured and centralized, these records become a valuable resource for quality improvement.” The White Stone Group’s TRACE and OptiVox systems were both featured in quality improvement projects presented by hospitals in a storyboard reception on Dec. 11. Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta presented a poster displaying its use of TRACE to manage routine communication in access and registration. The hospital has overturned more than $2 million in denials and reallocated five employees by increasing the efficiency of its business processes. OptiVox was featured in a poster displaying Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center’s success in streamlining patient transfers. By standardizing hand-off communication during transfers, the hospital has reduced the time required to admit patients from the Emergency Department by 75 percent. “We are proud to have our systems featured in this forum, where participants share our mission for improving the quality of healthcare,” said Cruze.
