Company Profile
The White Stone Group (TWSG) builds and delivers software solutions that improve the management of healthcare communication events.
A privately held company headquartered in Knoxville, Tenn., TWSG has implemented its systems in nearly 400 hospitals nationwide to
resolve complex communications and data management problems in the healthcare industry.
TWSG is a leader in combining voice, image, and web technologies to automate and capture communication events in the healthcare setting.
The mission of the company is to create a digital communication record (DCR) that contains archives of everyday communication events, indexed by patient.
Providers use this data to increase their reimbursements, improve the quality of patient care, and manage workflow processes with physician offices and payer organizations.

History
The White Stone Group (TWSG) was founded to bring efficiency and economic value to workflow processes in the healthcare environment.
The company began in 1991 by providing computer consultation and contract management services to healthcare delivery systems and providers.
From 1991 to 1996, TWSG facilitated the implementation of software solutions for hospitals and physician groups.
As an outgrowth of this work, the company started development of a line of healthcare software products that utilized the telephone as a voice interface.
In 1998, TWSG launched its flagship product, VoiCert®, to automate the precertification and authorization process occurring between providers and payers via telephone.
Following installations in nearly 400 hospitals in 31 states, VoiCert grew well beyond its original design and scope.
Based on ongoing market research and user feedback, VoiCert became more robust, with added capabilities such as capturing the transmission and receipt of fax documents, scanned images, web pages,
and inbound and outbound phone calls - all as they pertain to a single patient's visit.
TWSG recently launched a new system named TRACE ("Tracking All Communication Events") to encompass and broaden the capabilities of VoiCert.
The TRACE system is built on three distinct technological components: VoiCert, to handle call management; FaxCert, to handle fax and paper management; and PixCert, to handle electronic and web management.
In 2005, corporate research led to the launch of OptiVox®, a product that standardizes hand-off communication between caregivers at shift change and patient transfer.
The system allows caregivers to enter and receive shift reports by telephone at any time during their shifts, reducing overtime and allowing more time for patient care.
With OptiVox, patient reports are more accurate, timely, and consistent enterprise-wide.
TWSG continues to design and develop new solutions to address the complex environment of healthcare communications through advanced, user-friendly technologies custom-designed for the healthcare market.
