Why OptiVox?

OptiVox is the solution for patient reporting Hand-offs take place during the busiest and often most stressful times in a hospital, creating endless opportunities for the loss of important details between caregivers. The time constraints of these periods make it difficult to communicate the volume of information necessary to ensure an adequate transfer of care. Communication is also hindered by the variety of methods used, differing communication styles, interruptions and rushed reporting.

OptiVox delivers hand-offs in a standard format that takes less time and results in fewer errors than traditional hand-off methods. With OptiVox, hand-offs can be entered or received at any time through any telephone. Custom prompts are built-in to ensure the quality of each report, and reports can be monitored for training and evaluation in hand-off competency.

To enter a hand-off report, caregivers speak responses to a series of customized voice prompts. Reporting methodologies such as SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation) can be implemented to ensure a standard format for each report.

To receive a hand-off report, caregivers access OptiVox, enter a patient ID, and listen to applicable reports. Caregivers can navigate through the reports by speeding up, slowing down, pausing or replaying certain sections as needed. This process ensures the efficiency of any needed face-to-face and allows an opportunity to ask and respond to questions.
